The post holder will be responsible for the co ordination and management of interventional clinical trials covering mainly the Cardiac Renal Metabolic research portfolio at St George's. The post holder will work collaboratively with the research teams and wider multidisciplinary team in the management of their own caseload of clinical trials patients and be accountable for the achievement of local and national targets in relation to the service.
This opportunity is suitable for a nurse with experience in the disease areas and a special interest in research.
Qualifications and Training- Educated to diploma/degree level in Nursing
- Good Clinical Practice Certificate or willingness to be trained
- Relevant Post Registration Training
- Previous experience in audit and evaluation
- Experience explaining complex concepts to patients in a clear simplified manner
- Previous experience in Clinical Trial Delivery
- Experience in at least one of these areas: Cardiac, Renal, Endocrine
- Demonstrates ability to prioritise workload
- Works well as part of a team from different areas
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent use of relevant software specifically spreadsheets
- Experience in ECGs, spirometry and phlebotomy
- Experience in ECGs, spirometry and phlebotomy
- Participation in basic clinical or nursing research
- Motivated & demonstrates enthusiasm for the clinical specialty
- Adaptable & responsive to changing needs
- Able to use own initiative
- Reliable / Team player
- Committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Post subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and Disclosure and Barring Service check as required.
Compensation & Contract- Salary: £47,951 to £56,863 per annum (pro rata)
