Job Summary

CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST

Band 7

Salary: £54,320- £60,981 per annum inclusive

Hours of work: 37.5 per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Clinical Nurse Specialist at St Joseph's Hospice. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality palliative care within the community. You will provide holistic support to patients and families, including expert symptom management and emotional, social, and spiritual care.

You will work closely with primary care teams and other professionals to ensure the best possible quality of life for those we support. The post involves working on a 7-day week rota.

About you

  • Has post-registration experience in palliative care or a related specialty
  • Possesses highly developed communication skills and can work autonomously
  • Has experience of working in the community
  • Has experience of teaching, research and audit
  • Ideally holds, or is willing to undertake, post-registration study in palliative care

St Joseph's Hospice was founded in 1905 by the Religious Sisters of Charity and as such it has a rich, Catholic heritage which informs our work today: to support and welcome those in need, from all different cultures, religions and backgrounds.

We provide high quality specialist palliative care for patients with cancer and other life-threatening conditions across East and North London. We have a large team of clinical staff who work across community, in-patient and out-patient services delivering individualised, responsive and holistic support to patients and their families/carers
