The Coombe Hospital is one of the largest providers of women and newborn health care in the Republic of Ireland. We care for up to 10,000 pregnant women every year, admit over 1,000 newborns to the Neonatal Intensive Care Centre, and perform over 8,000 adult surgical operations. The hospital provides comprehensive care for women and newborns at local, regional, and national levels and promotes normality in pregnancy and childbirth.

Clinical Nurse Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Care
Applicants should submit a completed application form, updated CV, and letter of application to before the closing date of 5pm on Wednesday, 1st July 2026.
Qualifications- Registered nurse on the active Register of Nurses/ Midwives held by NMBI or eligible to register.
- Registered in the Psychiatric Nursing Division.
- Acquired a Level 8 post registration Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic award relevant to the specialist area - (peri natal mental health or specialist mental health interventions) prior to application.
- Minimum of 5 years total post registration experience in psychiatric nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with women in relation to Perinatal Mental Health issues in a specialist unit, acute inpatient service, community mental health team, or acute community mental health team.
- Ability to practice safely and effectively within professional scope of practice.
- Evidence of continuing professional development specifically in relation to Perinatal Mental Health care (e.g., The Mind Mothers e-learning programme on HSELanD).
