We are currently hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager for a leading nursing home in Co. Wicklow, Ireland.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and maintain high standards of care by working clinically alongside staff and leading by example across all shifts.
  • Act as a clinical resource, supporting staff in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care.
  • Promote person centred care, advocating for residents while ensuring effective communication with GPs and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain high standards of infection control, hygiene, and a safe, clean environment in line with policies and guidelines.
  • Supervise, support and evaluate staff performance, ensuring care plans are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Allocate staff effectively, ensuring safe staffing levels, continuity of care and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Support the Director of Nursing, including leadership responsibilities in their absence and assistance with rostering and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, HIQA standards and regulatory requirements, including incident reporting, risk management and audits.
  • Oversee medication management, stock control and safe use of equipment in line with NMBI and statutory guidelines.
  • Demonstrate professional accountability through continuous development, effective teamwork, communication and adherence to confidentiality and data protection standards.
Requirements
  • Recognised nursing qualification
  • Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Gerontology is desirable
  • Previous experience in the care of the elderly
