About The Firm:

My client is a highly regarded Legal500 law firm located in Essex/Herts with a strong national reputation for clinical negligence and medical negligence claims. Their Clinical Negligence department is one of the leading teams in the country, offering expert legal representation in complex and high profile cases. Due to recent successes, my client is expanding the department and seeking a Medical/clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their growing team.

Working with leaders in the field, the team deals with a wide range of matters including birth trauma cases, delays in diagnosis or misdiagnosis, surgical mistakes, fatalities, inquests, brain injury, spinal injury and amputation claims.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of medical negligence claims, including inquests, psychiatric injury, fatal cases.
  • Conduct legal research, case preparation, and client advocacy.
  • Work closely with medical experts and counsel to develop case strategy.
  • Support and represent clients at inquests and hearings.
  • Provide clear, compassionate, and expert legal advice to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • Contribute to the growth and success of the Clinical Negligence department.
Essential experience:
  • More than 1 year PQE as a Medical Negligence Solicitor.
  • Strong client care skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills.
  • A genuine passion for access to justice.
Desirable experience:
  • Experience working on high profile and complex medical negligence claims.
  • Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution in medical/clinical negligence cases.
