We are looking for a Clinical Lead Nurse for the Community Mental Health Team in Kendal and South Lakes. The role requires a motivated and experienced registered Mental Health Nurse.

The Community Mental Health Team delivers assessment and community based interventions in partnership with individuals, focusing on needs, self determination and recovery.

As Clinical Lead you will provide professional and clinical leadership, promote a culture of learning and person centred care, and uphold the Trust values.

Main duties of the job
  • Undertaking expert assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
  • Supervising and teaching professionals from the multi disciplinary teams, including qualified and unqualified staff.
  • Working in partnership with service users, carers and other agencies to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Providing clinical leadership and support to the Team Leader to ensure a high quality cycle of care.
  • Providing clinical assurances to effective caseload management within community teams.
Person Specification Education / Qualifications
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with NMC.
  • Post registration experience and/or evidence of formal courses and training at postgraduate diploma level.
  • Mentorship Course, including Clinical Supervision Training.
Knowledge / Experience
  • Experience developing, delivering and evaluating specialist programmes of care and risk management plans.
  • Evidence of improving service delivery in line with evidence based practice.
  • Up to date knowledge of evidence based practice, e.g. NICE guidance.
  • Knowledge of regulatory bodies and associated standards, e.g. CQC.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, e.g. Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act.
