Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology and EndoscopyThe closing date is 03 November 2025
It is expected that the successful candidate will pursue subspecialty training in EUS, advanced lower GI (including IBD) or upper GI endoscopy, although other interests will be considered.
The rota includes other Gastroenterology and Endoscopy resident doctors/Fellows.
Each post holder will have an educational supervisor and be provided with career advice as well as a study leave budget.
This will provide a year of subspecialty training in endoscopy. For selected candidates training may be extended by a further year. The appointee will work alongside other endoscopy fellows and a dynamic gastroenterology department consisting of 22 consultant gastroenterologists, a staff specialist, 6 registrars, IMTs and foundation doctors. The role is also open to surgical trainees who would then also contribute to the upper GI surgical service.

Person Specification- A minimum of 4 months NHS experience in Gastroenterology
- Evidence of involvement in audit & research projects
- GMC Registration with Licence to Practice
- Completion of foundation training or equivalent
- Current certification in ALS
- Evidence of participation in evidence based medicine, e.g. journal clubs and presentations.
