Job overviewApplications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST5/ST6+)/Senior in Respiratory Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This post is available to commence from 04 March 2026 until 02 March 2027.
This post is available to applicants who have clinical experience and qualifications equivalent to ST5 level in Respiratory Medicine or above (post CCT preferred). Research skills and track record are highly desirable. Candidates with other speciality interests may be accommodated - please contact Dr R Gore or Dr M Knolle (details below) for discussion.
Main duties of the jobRespiratory Medicine at CUH covers a busy specialist workload across a dedicated ward (with an 8 bedded Respiratory Care Unit), outpatient, ambulatory and home based services. The severe asthma service at CUH sits at the centre of one of the largest severe asthma networks in the UK. Currently there are >1000 patients on biological asthma treatments. It is also research active, spanning from commercial to investigator led basic science studies.
The teaching and research activities of the unit are well developed, in conjunction with the University of Cambridge.
Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.
