Reed Practice is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a well-established and highly regarded independent Cambridgeshire accountancy practice to recruit a Client Manager
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice Semi Senior / Senior Accountant seeking a varied role with genuine autonomy, strong client exposure and a clear route for career progression with a firm who are rapidly gaining new business opportunities.
As Client Manager, you'll become the trusted adviser for your own portfolio of clients, delivering a broad range of accounting and tax services whilst building long-term relationships with business owners across a variety of sectors.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for limited companies, LLPs, partnerships and sole traders
- Preparing corporation tax computations and personal tax returns
- Advising clients on tax efficiency, accounting systems and compliance matters
- Liaising directly with HMRC and other regulatory bodies
- Identifying opportunities to further support and develop client relationships
- Driving process improvements and embracing technology to improve efficiency
- Maintaining high-quality client files in line with ICAEW and practice standards
Working closely with Partners and the bookkeeping team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional client service across the practice.

You may be ACA/ACCA qualified, studying, or qualified through experience with a strong background in accountancy practice. You'll also bring:
Excellent knowledge of UK accounting standards and personal and corporate tax compliance
Strong client-facing and communication skills
The ability to explain financial matters clearly to non-finance stakeholders
First-class organisational and time management skills
Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding client service
