We are seeking an experienced Client Account Manager with at least 5 years of experience in commercial energy, fuel cards, or payments. The role involves building valued relationships across National Accounts and Fuel Card resellers, and developing strategies to increase fuel volume and market share in a saturated market.
The candidate will work closely with industry contacts and partners, requiring sound judgment in negotiation, analysis, and financial evaluation to enhance our client's market position.
The package includes a car allowance, approximately 20% bonus, 15% pension, and various other benefits.
The role is primarily field and home-based, with travel as needed to build and maintain relationships and ensure profitable growth. Ideally, candidates will be Midlands-based or in a central UK location for customer visits and occasional attendance at the London office.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and execution of the UK Fuel Card business strategy to drive sales, volume growth, and profitability.
- Manage all matters related to Fuel Cards, including contracts and relationships.
- Conduct annual performance reviews, set targets, provide product training, and implement sales incentives.
- Negotiate product sale/purchase agreements with Fastfuel resellers and acceptance partners.
- Support retail sales with sector knowledge to enhance value selling for branded fuel supply contracts.
Support projects as guided by the Senior National Account Manager.
Management of Retail Supply Contracts:- Oversee performance and profitability of a portfolio of national account sites, both branded and unbranded.
- Develop strategies to manage relationships through effective contract management and negotiation, aiming for volume and network growth.
- Identify and target conversion opportunities via group strategies and the CAT pipeline.
- Ensure timely execution of deals, accurate setup, and management through the branding process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with national groups to maximize value and profit potential.
- Meet with stakeholders quarterly to review performance and develop future action plans.
