Job Description



  • Design and implement high-performance ClickHouse environments


  • Drive the migration of analytical databases to ClickHouse with minimal disruption


  • Manage database query optimisation for scalability and performance


  • Operate production-ready clusters with high availability and fault tolerance


  • Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and data security strategies


  • Collaborate with teams to align database solutions with business goals


  • Monitor performance with Prometheus and Grafana, addressing issues proactively


  • Implement best practices for data modelling and processing


  • Guide and mentor junior developers in ClickHouse best practices


  • Stay up-to-date with ClickHouse advancements and implement innovative solutions


  • Deliver documentation for system architecture and troubleshooting


The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:
Extensive experience with ClickHouse in a production environment
Proficiency in Linux/Unix and database performance optimisation
Strong knowledge of query optimisation, data modelling, and ETL
Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines
Solid understanding of data security, backup, and disaster recovery
Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, and C++ for customisation
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
