About this job

To provide a front line service in line with Powys council policies and procedures. Responsible for the cleaning of an area within a PCC premises to the standard laid down by the job specification.

About you

• Ability to complete stock records, time sheets, etc.
• Ability to train cleaning operatives.
• Literacy and numeracy skills.

What you will do

• Attend relevant training as required.
• Clean floor areas by vacuuming, machine polishing, machine scrubbing, wet/dry sweeping/mopping.
• Clean furniture and work surfaces.
• Clean toilet areas (w.c. pans, urinals, handbasins, mirrors) and replenish toilet tissue, hand towels, soap.
• Empty and clean waste/recycling bins, replenish litter bin bags, and remove waste to the compound.
• Remove dirty marks from walls, doors, and internal windows up to head height.
• Perform high level cleaning using extending equipment.
• Ensure a good standard of work by reporting damaged/broken items to the caretaker.
• Report blocked drains to the caretaker.
• Observe health and safety, correct use of chemicals, and maintain a safe working environment.

This position requires an Enhanced DBS Check.
