SALARY: WPT Band 1 £24796 (Pro rata £4426)
CONTRACT: Permanent,
HOURS: 7.5 Hours per week, Afternoon 3.30pm - 5pmTerm time only including Insets

About the Role
As a Cleaner, you play a vital role in the daily running of the academy. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in your designated area. Working under the guidance of the Cleaning Supervisor or Caretaker, you will ensure that classrooms, corridors, and communal spaces are safe, sanitary, and ready for the school day. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail will directly contribute to the health and well being of our school community.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor/Caretaker, be responsible for the cleanliness of a specified area within the academy to ensure hygiene standards are maintained. This will include working to a set timescale.
- Undertake appropriate training to understand the correct ways to use and store cleaning equipment and domestic products in order to comply with Health and Safety regulations.
- Be vigilant to risks and hazards and ensure these are reported correctly under COSHH in order to maintain a high level of Health and Safety.
- Be responsible for replenishing hygiene items, such as soap and towels, in order to support staff, pupils, and visitors to maintain personal hygiene standards.
- Maintain required cleaning records in order to comply with Health and Safety and academy procedures.
- Work as a team with other cleaning staff to ensure the whole academy is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
