Job Description
Job Summary

Hours: permanent contract, 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10.30am-2.30pm

Pay: £13.46 per hour

This is an opportunity to join the Engineering department at our Hyde Road depot as a Cleaner. You will support the depot management team by maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment for colleagues, stakeholders and the wider Greater Manchester community.

Responsibilities
  • Keep the relevant work area clean and tidy, and clean up spillages in accordance with Metroline's Health and Safety policy and procedures.
  • Wash the exterior of all buses using the automatic bus wash, and wash wheels and skirt panels by hand.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of company vehicles to a high standard using mechanical, electrical and manual cleaning equipment.
  • Keep records and documents up to date as required by Metroline.
  • Apply safe practices for mechanical and manual equipment and for handling highly corrosive and toxic materials in compliance with COSHH regulations.
  • Maintain the standards required by Metroline Manchester.
Qualifications
  • Possession or willingness to obtain a suitable qualification (e.g., NVQ level 1).
  • Driving licence (preferably PCV) desirable.
