An experienced Class 2 Rigid HIAB driver, based in Greater Manchester, on regional and nationwide deliveries.
Nortons Hiab Services are looking to recruit an experienced Class 2 Rigid HIAB Driver based in Greater Manchester.
We are a long-established family-run company where employees are genuinely valued. In fact, our drivers stay with us for an average of over fifteen years. Due to continued growth and investment in a modern fleet, we are looking to welcome additional drivers to our team.
Licence Class 2 (Category C)
Based Greater Manchester, working out of our yard at Miles Platting, Manchester
Hours Full time, with occasional nights out
Pay Competitive rates of pay - the actual figure depends on your licence, your qualifications and your experience, and we would rather discuss it with you than publish a bracket
Agencies No agencies. This is a permanent job and we recruit direct.
Day to day- Operating Class 2 rigid HIAB vehicles
- Regional and nationwide deliveries
- Wide load experience preferred
- Occasional nights out when required
- Working with a modern, well-maintained fleet
What we are looking for
The person- HIAB experience and valid HIAB certification preferred
- Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence
- Excellent punctuality and reliability
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
For the right candidate we are willing to provide HIAB training if you currently hold an HGV licence but do not have HIAB certification. If you have ambitions to progress to larger Class 1 vehicles we are also happy to support further training and development, helping you gain the necessary qualifications and experience alongside our existing team.
Most of our drivers and crane operators are ALLMI trained and CPCS qualified, several hold Rail Track PTS and we are LINK Up members. The cranes are worked by remote control, so you stand where you can see the load rather than sitting in a seat behind it.
How we train and what we are accredited for
For example: Class 1, HIAB, ALLMI, CPCS.
