Class 2 Driver

Based in Stonehouse, this full-time Class 2 Driver position with Pertemps Gloucester offers a starting salary of £15 per hour, rising to £16.81, with all breaks and hours compensated.

The role involves operating a Category C vehicle, typically starting between 4am and 7am. Daily duties encompass undertaking between one and twelve deliveries to both residential and commercial clients. Physical fitness is essential as the job requires substantial heavy lifting and manual handling, with goods offloaded kerbside or at specified points.

The role

• Driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
• Start times between 04:00 and 07:00.
• Completing 1 to 12 deliveries per day.
• Delivering products to residential and commercial customers.
• Heavy lifting and handball required.
• Offloading products to the kerbside or designated delivery location only.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and keeping the vehicle clean and roadworthy.

Requirements

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence.
• CPC qualification card.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Maximum of 9 points for minor offences.
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Professional and customer-focused attitude.
• Good communication skills.
