Class 1 Driver

Manpower UK is seeking a professional Class 1 Driver based in Woking, GU21 3BA.

Key Details:

• Hourly rate: £22.41 - £25.53
• Contract type: Temporary, ongoing
• Working hours: Various shifts available
• Location: Woking, GU21 3BA

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than five penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• Minimum 2 years previous HGV driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
