Class 1 Driver - Days

Role Details

Class 1 Driver - Days, Contract: Temp to Perm, Salary: up to £16.83 per hour (currently £16.38).

Full time: Mon Fri, 07:30 start, hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to a range of customer sites, typically 12-14 drops across East Anglia, plus one collection.
• Safely operate the vehicle and adhere to business safety standards.
• Use pallet truck for unloading pallets when no forklift is available.
• Operate handheld scanner and complete required paperwork.
• Perform vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA.

Requirements

• Valid Class1 HGV licence (HGV1), Digital Tachograph Card and Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• No more than six penalty points on licence; no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
• Multidrop delivery experience.
• Excellent knowledge of UK road network.
• ADR endorsement preferred but not mandatory.
• Can do attitude, physical fitness for handballing and pallet truck use.
