Job Description
- Join a leading specialist commercial insurance business
- Hybrid working (2-3 days in Birmingham office with regional travel)

- Minimum 3+ years' experience in a claims management or team leader role within commercial insurance
- Strong background in insurance broking and commercial claims handling
- Experience leading, coaching and developing teams
- Strong understanding of insurance principles and regulatory/legal frameworks
- Confident managing performance, MI reporting and operational workflows
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Cert CII qualification (or working towards)
- Experience working across multiple office locations or regional teams
- Exposure to complaints handling and regulatory escalation processes
- Experience using performance dashboards and MI tools
- Leading, coaching and mentoring a commercial claims team
- Running regular 1-2-1s, performance reviews and development plans
- Driving a culture of accountability, high performance and continuous improvement
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and performance management activity
- Overseeing day-to-day claims operations and workflow management
- Supporting resolution of complex claims and escalations
- Managing complaints in line with regulatory requirements
- Working closely with Compliance, HR, L&D and Broking teams
- Producing and reviewing claims MI and performance reports
- Identifying trends, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
- Using data and dashboards to improve efficiency and service delivery
- Supporting audits and ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance
- Building strong internal and external relationships
- Working closely with client servicing teams to improve client outcomes
- Acting as an escalation point for complex issues
- Ensuring consistently high levels of client service across the team
