We're looking for a Claims Insight Delivery Manager to join our Performance team, either working remotely or based in our Salford Quays, Manchester or Haywards Heath, West Sussex offices.
This role involves being a senior team member responsible for developing best-in-class Claims Insight. You will manage the vital link between frontline operational claims, pricing, underwriting, reserving, and external stakeholders, utilising data to inform past and future business results.
The Claims Insight Delivery Manager will leverage their extensive understanding of actuarial techniques and insights to inform reserving projections and impacts on the 5-year plan.

Core skills we're looking for:- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to present information to Exec level
- Experience using SAS, SQL, or similar programs
- Knowledge of actuarial methodologies, specifically claims reserving
- Delivering regular reports to business leaders on claims indemnity performance to support monthly and quarterly executive reporting
- Analyzing performance trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities in line with executive priorities
- Building and maintaining data models (typically using SAS), utilising various data sources to develop insights into claims performance across the balanced scorecard
- Presenting and visualising analysis clearly to add value, with insightful commentary and clear actions or recommendations
- Collaborating with operational teams to make recommendations for improving indemnity performance and ensuring delivery
- Coaching and mentoring Claims Insight analysts, especially in developing SAS skills
- Working closely with Finance to track and demonstrate benefits across expenses, income, and indemnity
- Engaging with industry benchmarking providers to evaluate company performance and inform KPIs
- Supporting forecasts of claims inflation from internal or external factors
- Representing the Claims Insight Manager in key stakeholder meetings
- Supporting the wider Performance team as needed, leveraging your skills to meet business needs
- Proven experience in data mining, transformation, synthesis, and reporting using SAS, SQL, and other modelling tools
- Experience using data and insights to understand claims indemnity performance
- Ability to lead performance discussions and formulate improvement recommendations
- Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills, including managing difficult conversations
- Team-oriented with a focus on shared objectives
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Experience in line management and colleague development
- Advanced MS Office and SAS Enterprise Guide skills
- Proficiency in SQL or similar tools
- Understanding of actuarial methodologies
