The Role

As a Civil Engineering Technician, you'll be an integral part of a dynamic team, contributing to the design and delivery of impactful infrastructure projects. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and technicians, creating high-quality engineering drawings and models while helping to solve real-world design challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team in producing detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Civils 3D.
• Create accurate 3D models of engineering schemes. Prepare and check simple engineering calculations.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of your own work and support junior staff in reviewing theirs.
• Provide creative solutions to design challenges while meeting deadlines.
• Liaise with statutory bodies such as water companies, the Environment Agency, and county roads departments.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and colleagues, maintaining professionalism and offering guidance as needed.

About You

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civils 3D is essential.
• Previous experience in an engineering technician role is preferred.
• A relevant technician qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
