Salary: £27,000 to £35,000.

The successful Civil Engineer will play a key role in team management, project delivery, and technical excellence. As Civil Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Working on the geotechnical team and managing project workloads
- Identifying geotechnical risks and proposing effective mitigation strategies
- Delivering concept and detailed design work including foundation design, slope stability and retaining walls.
- Producing high-quality technical reports including Ground Investigation and Geotechnical Design Reports
- Mentoring junior staff
- Supporting colleagues across other offices as part of a wider geotechnical team
To succeed in this Civil Engineer role, you should have:
- Design experience within civil or geotechnical engineering consultancy
- Have or be working towards chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (or equivalent)
- Familiarity with geotechnical design software, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Experience in rail projects (preferred but not essential)
- Relevant experience in areas such as slope stability, foundation design, earthworks, soil nails, retaining structures, and pile design
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
- Clean UK driving licence
- Live in or near to York
