Drainage and Wastewater Design Engineer
Join a leading UK-based Consultancy socialising in non-infrastructure projects for Water Companies. With offices in Glasgow, my Client is at the forefront of delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for the water industry.
As a Drainage and Wastewater Design Engineer, you will:
- Design wastewater infrastructure with a focus on Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs) and Shaft Tanks.
- Develop wastewater non-infrastructure designs to meet client and regulatory requirements.
- Create SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) and traditional drainage designs for a variety of projects.
- Design water non-infrastructure systems, ensuring efficiency and sustainability.
- Work on potable water infrastructure design, delivering high-quality solutions.
- Retrofit SuDS and drainage solutions to remove surface water from existing networks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in wastewater infrastructure design, particularly CSOs and Shaft Tanks.
- Expertise in wastewater non-infrastructure design.
- Strong knowledge of SuDS and traditional drainage design principles.
- Experience in water non-infrastructure and potable water infrastructure design.
- A track record of retrofitting SuDS and drainage solutions to existing networks.
- A degree of HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
