Civil Design Engineers - Birmingham

Overview

Our client, a key player in the water sector, is currently seeking experienced Civil Design Engineers to join their team in Birmingham. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, including both clean and waste water projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and developing civil works for water-related projects
• Collaborating on multiple frameworks such as STW, Thames, Anglian, Southern, and Southwest Water
• Preparing detailed design calculations and drawings
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across different locations, including Exeter, Brighton, Birmingham, Bristol, London, Newcastle, and Liverpool
• Adhering to project timelines and budgets
• Ensuring accurate documentation and reporting for all design activities
• Participating in stakeholder meetings and providing technical input

Job Requirements

• Experience in civil engineering design within the water sector
• Strong understanding of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in relevant design software and tools
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment
• Willingness to start as soon as possible and work inside IR35
