Vickerstock are delighted to be supporting a rapidly growing multidisciplinary design and engineering consultancy with the recruitment of a Civil Design Engineer for their Dublin studio.
This role offers an excellent chance for an experienced civil engineer to join a collaborative, purpose-led practice delivering design-led engineering solutions across a mix of sectors. You'll be working on technically diverse and impactful projects that help shape resilient places and infrastructure, from public realm and regeneration schemes to community-focused developments across Ireland and the UK.
Your new role as Civil Design EngineerAs Civil Design Engineer, you will play a leading role in the technical delivery and coordination of civil engineering projects, supporting project teams from concept through to detailed design and construction.
Key responsibilities will include:- Leading civil engineering design and delivery on a range of projects across sectors such as public infrastructure, regeneration, residential and commercial developments.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are practical, compliant, and aligned with project objectives.
- Preparing and reviewing detailed calculations, reports and technical drawings.
- Communicating effectively with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers within project teams.
- Contributing to business development and technical excellence initiatives as part of a growing studio.
To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant post-graduate experience in civil engineering design and delivery.
- Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
- Strong technical capability with industry standard tools (e.g., "Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD").
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset focused on quality and impact.
- Chartered status or progression towards chartership would be desirable.
