Civil Design Engineer

Binnies are part of the RSK Group and, following recent success in securing AMP8 Frameworks within the UK Water sector, Binnies is now recruiting for Civil Engineers to join our engineering teams across the UK. Working within our Delivery group, you will support the delivery of UK Non-Infra Water Engineering projects within a design and build environment.

In addition to the above, Binnies offers opportunities on an international scale with offices worldwide and projects completed in over 100 countries. Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Representing the Civil Engineering discipline on projects, including:
2. Preparation of complex engineering deliverables, conducting research, and developing civil scope and specifications.
3. Preparation of engineering calculations following standard methods.
4. Collecting, managing, and analyzing data for engineering work.
5. Assigning and coordinating tasks with team members.
6. Understanding and adhering to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
7. Engaging with clients to understand their drivers through visits and project leadership.
8. Staying current with departmental design guides, standards, codes, and policies.
9. Supporting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
10. Mentoring junior/graduate engineers.

Person Specification

• BSc or MSc Degree in Civil Engineering is essential.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
• Desirable: Water sector detailed design experience.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage relationships with stakeholders.
• Understanding of budget and program control.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
• Strong planning, organization, and attention to detail skills.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and colleagues.
