Do you have a passion for listening to people and acting on what they tell you? We have an exciting opportunity for citizen focused people to join us as a Citizen Involvement Officer for 12 months.
As part of the Public Participation Team you will be part of a team passionate about engaging citizens. We are currently leading on local engagement activities which include face to face attendance, facilitating online meetings, and building contacts with local communities. Therefore you must be willing to travel and work outside of normal office hours.
It is a small but highly focused team, very busy and passionate about putting citizens first. We provide advice and guidance to the rest of the council on best practice approaches to consultation and engagement. We expect you to have the right people skills to hit the ground running, add value to the team and the council, and support citizens across the city.
You will need to be able to work as part of a team and independently, using your initiative to provide advice, guidance and tools that enable citizen involvement at the highest level, including engagement at the front door to many services.
