Experience & Requirements

Lakshya Digital, a part of Keywords Studios, is a leading provider of Game Art services to the global games industry. We are looking for an experienced Cinematic Artist (UK time zone preferred but not required) to join the team. This is a fully remote 6-month freelance contract starting in June 2025, with the possibility of extension for another 6-12 months.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven understanding of film language, storytelling structure, cinematography, and editing
  • Strong eye for scene composition, camera blocking and animation, and lighting
  • Ability to create assets ranging from screenshots to character-driven trailers
  • Experience setting up cinematic scenes, including camera layout, VFX, and lighting in engines such as Unreal or Unity
  • Comfortable working closely with cinematic animators to plan and execute motion capture shoots
  • Skilled with timeline editors such as Unreal Sequencer or Unity Timeline
  • Strong 3D software proficiency (Maya, 3DS Max, Blender)
  • Familiarity with animation tools including graph editors
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Strong written English and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with tools programmers and contribute to cinematic tool development

Bonus if you have:

  • Photography or motion graphics experience
  • Experience with lighting and post-processing
  • Background in traditional filmmaking (directing, sound, shoot planning)
  • Experience modding or working directly in game engines
