Join Active Care in the HomeWe're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Children's Support Worker to support our new young client in Hailsham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child's life while working as part of a supportive and experienced team.
About the RoleYou will be supporting an 11 year old boy with:
- Autism
- ADHD
- Learning disabilities
- Epilepsy
- Behaviours that may challenge
Your role will focus on supporting him to access and enjoy activities within his local community, helping him build confidence, independence, and positive experiences outside the home.
For all shifts, you will work alongside another Support Worker as part of a 2:1 support package, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained.
As part of this role, you will be required to drive the client's vehicle, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential.
Working HoursTerm Time
- Saturdays and Sundays
- 5 hours per day
- 10 hours per week
School Holidays (Non-Term Time)
- Hours increase to approximately 16 hours per week
- Additional weekday shifts available
You will receive regular weekly shifts and rolling rotas, allowing you to build a consistent and trusted relationship with the child and his family.
While this position is offered on a zero hours contract, hours are typically regular and ongoing.
What We're Looking For- Full UK driving licence
- Previous experience supporting individuals who display behaviours that may challenge
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people
- A caring, patient and reliable approach
- Confidence working as part of a team
- Up to £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
- Full specialist training
- Ongoing support from your dedicated Care Manager
