Job Description

Are you looking for a part time role, for early evenings / weekends?

Come and join Active Care in the Home.

We'd like you to join us as a Children's Support Worker to care for our young client in Redruth

What you'll be doing:

This role is to support a wonderful 11 year old boy with complex clinical health needs in his own home, where he lives with his family and dogs. Our clients needs include learning disabilities, PEG feed, challenging behaviour, non-verbal, epilepsy and he wears splints. We will provide full specialist training and shadow shifts.

This is a rewarding role where you can work with one child, enhancing his life every week. It is also a great opportunity to enhance your clinical skills.

We also have other children's packages in St Columb Major and Tresillian that you could also work in alongside.

Shifts:

  • Weekday evenings 4.15pm-8.15pm / Sundays 11am-5pm
  • Approx 3 shifts a week available in this Redruth package
  • Additional shifts available with our other children clients in St Columb Major (weekdays 3.30pm-6.30pm) and Tresillian (weekdays 3pm-8pm and weekends 11am-5pm)

In this role, you'll support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract.

What we can offer you:

  • Up to £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Excellent Induction Training and specialist training
  • Ongoing support from our Children's Care Manager
  • Monthly advance rotas
  • Paid DBS Check
  • Accrued holiday pay
  • A Nest Personal Pension account
  • We recognise outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programme
  • Refer a Friend Scheme and earn yourself up to £1000 by recommending someone you know
  • and, of course, the support and guidance of our qualified clinical and business leadership teams so that you can really develop your career with Active Care in the Home

At Active Care Group we want everyone to feel welcome and supported. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment or interview process, just let us know and we'd be very happy to discuss this with you.
