Job Description

Our Client, Bury Council, is seeking a Children's Social Worker to join their Family Safeguarding Team.

This is a Hybrid Working Role!

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Complete statutory assessments (Section 17 & 47) and identify safeguarding risks.
  • Manage a caseload, developing and reviewing Child Protection and Child in Need plans.
  • Undertake direct work with children and families, using a strengths-based approach.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children.
  • Carry out ongoing risk assessments and take action to protect children.
  • Prepare reports and attend child protection conferences and court where required.
  • Maintain accurate, timely case records in line with policy and legislation.
  • Ensure the child's voice is central to all planning and decision-making.
  • Comply with relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
  • Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience working as a social worker
