Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join a Family Safeguarding Team covering Chorley & South Ribble. This is an immediate requirement, with the service looking to move quickly with suitable candidates. Interviews may be arranged on the same day as candidate submission, so applicants should be available to interview and commence work at short notice.

About the Role

As a Social Worker within the Family Safeguarding service, you will work with children and families where there are identified safeguarding concerns, providing high-quality statutory social work intervention and supporting families to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes. The role will involve working collaboratively with children, parents, carers and partner agencies while ensuring that safeguarding and the welfare of children remain central to assessment, planning and decision-making.

Essential Requirements

• A recognised Social Work qualification
• Current Social Work England registration
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a permanent post within a Local Authority
• Candidates must not have held a permanent or fixed-term position with a Local Authority within the last 12 weeks
• Relevant experience within statutory Children's Social Care
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment and relevant children's social care legislation
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment
• Immediate availability to interview and commence the assignment

Contract Details

The initial booking is for 3 months, with the possibility of an extension depending on service requirements. The client is looking to interview suitable applicants ASAP and may be able to arrange interviews on the same day that a candidate is submitted.
