Children's Social Worker - Emergency Duty Team

Our Client, Bury Council, is seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker to join their Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

• Respond to urgent safeguarding concerns out of hours
• Carry out risk assessments and make quick decisions
• Arrange emergency placements/accommodation
• Work with police, health, and other services
• Handle crisis situations (e.g. abuse, domestic incidents)
• Record actions and handover to day teams
• Use legal powers (e.g. Police Protection, EPOs)

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
• Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience as a Social Worker
