About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to children, young people (aged ), and their families affected by domestic abuse.
  • Deliver 1:1 and group based support using trauma informed approaches to help children and young people build confidence, self esteem, and healthy relationship skills.
  • Assess needs and risks, develop safety plans, and coordinate multi agency support for families.
  • Support parents and guardians through workshops, peer support groups, and individual sessions to understand the impact of domestic abuse on children.
  • Act as an advocate for children and families, attending school meetings, case conferences, and other forums.
  • Develop and deliver community based programmes and online resources for families, and promote the service locally through engagement with schools, agencies, and community groups.
  • Support the Young People's Advisory Board to ensure services reflect the voices and needs of young people.
  • Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion by ensuring services are accessible and responsive to the needs of all communities, including those who are underrepresented or marginalised.
