Job Description
Help build on and maintain the LEGO Group's status as a trusted leader in children's rights.
This role will be instrumental in supporting the LEGO Group's strategic commitments towards the Children's Rights and Business Principles.
No relocation assistance is offered for this position.
Core ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Senior Child Rights and Safety Manager to support the maintenance and implementation of the LEGO Group Child Safeguarding Policy and corresponding processes in line with local and global best practice and legislation. This includes:
Ensure child safeguarding practices are embedded across the business and in all events and projects.
Conduct child safeguarding risk assessments and reviews alongside the business to proactively identify and mitigate child safeguarding risks.
Develop and deliver child safeguarding training, including addressing the specific risks and needs associated with different areas of the business.
Investigate and respond to child safeguarding incidents, ensuring timely and appropriate action is taken.
Provide child safeguarding subject matter expertise across the business: build and maintain relationships with key child rights organisations and partners to share best practice and advocate for children's rights, communicate with extreme clarity and efficacy
Lead the awareness and implementation of the LEGO Group child safeguarding due diligence process to ensure all partners and suppliers maintain appropriate standards of child safeguarding.
Play your part in our team succeedingThe Child Rights and Safety team sets the strategic direction for the LEGO Group's work with children's rights and responsible engagement with children, offline as well as online. The team leads strategic child rights and safety initiatives and oversees the Digital Child Safety and Child Safeguarding policies. The position will report to the Director and Head of, Child Rights and Safety.
Do you have what it takes?Proficient subject matter expertise, professional qualifications and track record of years' experience working within child safeguarding (such as Social Work), incident management, due diligence, child development, and children's rights.
In-depth experience within the child safeguarding sphere completing safeguarding assessments, event risk assessments, crafting and delivering training, and managing safeguarding incident response.
Experience working for a global brand or organization with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Independent solution seeker with can do and pragmatic attitude. Ability to work well under pressure and where required make decisions quickly.
A standout colleague with a strategic mentality. Self-starter, result oriented and experienced project manager.
Highly proficient in both spoken and written English is a requirement.
