Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Team Administrator who can be part of an evolving administration team, you'll play a key role in our Child Development Admin Team.

The role is fast paced, requiring resilience, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure. You should be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, working to strict deadlines. Confidentiality must be maintained at all times and being a good communicator is also key.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide administration support as part of the administration team.

It is essential that you are able to demonstrate good interpersonal, verbal and written skills and have a "can do" positive attitude.

You will have a good level of IT literacy as you will be using multiple software packages including SystmOne.

This role will keep you both challenged and busy as you work closely with colleagues to support the clinical team and our young patients.

This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications
  • GCSE or equivalent including English and Maths (grade C/4 and above)
  • Educated to NVQ3 in administration or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
  • Evidence of good literacy and proof reading skills
  • Typing / text processing/ data entry skills to RSA III or equivalent
  • ECDL or an equivalent recognised IT qualification
  • Audiotyping experience
  • Prior use of Fluency
Experience
  • Evidence of recent secretarial experience in an office environment
  • Experience of minute taking
  • Prioritisation of workload
  • Must be used to working in busy environment with a variety of different people
  • Production of data reports
  • Production of clinical correspondence
  • Experience of digital Booking Systems
  • Previous experience working in a medical secretarial capacity
  • Dealing with complaints
  • Line Management of other administration staff
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate with a range of patients, colleagues and stakeholders
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Good word / text processing skills to include proof reading/formatting.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to take direction and instruction from others.
  • Proactive, self motivated and a positive approach to work.
  • Able to work on own initiative within Trust guidelines and to be able to work within agreed timescales.
  • Maintenance of confidentiality and awareness of data protection procedures.
  • Ability to remain calm and pleasant at all times.
  • Good keyboard and IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Prior use of SystmOne and Esearcher

  • Ability to travel between bases in an efficient and timely manner
