About Us

Jonas Fintech is a profitable SaaS business operating in the UK payments market, with brands Paygate and London & Zurich delivering Direct Debit and Bacs payment solutions.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Own commercial strategy for both brands, assessing performance against growth plans and resetting direction where needed.
  • Drive execution of the growth strategy across both brands, with full accountability for commercial performance (total revenue, growth, base to base sales, pricing strategies).
  • Lead two distinct sales motions in parallel: renewal timed competitor displacement (Paygate) and inbound/partnering (London & Zurich), each with its own cadence and metrics.
  • Direct the marketing function: manage two marketing team members, brand positioning, demand generation and go to market execution.
  • Lead commercial negotiation on partnering agreements, including review of legal contracts and liability terms.
  • Collaborate with the CPO and CTO to align product roadmap with commercial opportunity.
  • Collaborate with the COO to ensure operational delivery matches sales promises.
  • Work with the Head of Compliance to ensure commercial activity operates within regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the commercial perspective in wider business strategy discussions at SLT level.
  • Manage a team of approximately seven: two sales lines (new business and account management), two marketing roles, one business development/telemarketing role, and a sales administrator.
  • Operate remotely with expectation to attend in person town halls and Vesta Group events, and to travel to partners and clients as required (travel expenses covered).
Candidate Profile
  • Experience operating in a regulated industry with sales teams under regulatory constraints (FCA experience preferred).
  • Proven track record of setting and evolving commercial strategy and delivering on growth plans.
  • Experience managing multiple sales motions concurrently with distinct metrics and cadences.
  • Strong commercial success in a sales leadership role.
  • Demonstrated people management skills and ability to read and negotiate complex commercial contracts.
  • Collaborative style with product, operations, and compliance functions.
  • Knowledge of Direct Debit or Bacs domains is an advantage but not essential.
Benefits
  • Competitive package reflecting seniority and commercial outcomes.
  • 25 days annual leave plus a birthday or significant celebration day.
  • Private health insurance.
  • Life assurance at 4 base salary.
  • Enhanced company pension contribution.
  • Personal travel insurance.
  • Access to Benefiz benefits platform and opt in benefits.
  • Electric/Hybrid vehicle scheme and Cycle to Work scheme.
  • 10 day rolling sick plan with extended illness pay.
  • EAP and Mental Health First Aider support.
Vesta & Jonas Advantage
  • Access to capital and M&A pipeline within Vesta Software Group.
  • Peer network and cross portfolio learning across the Vesta and Jonas portfolio.
  • Long term ownership model and focus on strategic time horizon.
  • AI first investment and dedicated AI capability across portfolio.
  • Leadership development opportunities and global leadership events.
