The Chief Financial Officer is a critical member of the Leadership Team, responsible for the strategic leadership and effective management of the Finance, IT, and Governance functions across Southern Hospice Group. The postholder will also serve as the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) for the organisation.
We are looking for an exceptional individual who is values-driven, an inspirational leader and forward-thinking. You will be integral to the successful delivery of our clinical, corporate and improvement strategies and plans, enabling the organisation to achieve clinical transformation and long term financial sustainability.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Degree in mathematics, economics, finance, accounting, business, or a similar subject.
- Demonstrates innovation and creativity that encourages new ways of working and develops a culture of innovation with a willingness to take calculated risks.
- Proven leadership at Board or senior management level, preferably with experience in charity/not for profit, healthcare or hospice sector.
- Proven interpersonal, communication and people skills.
- Strategic vision with the ability to oversee operational delivery.
- Strong knowledge of charity governance and regulations.
- A collaborative and supportive leadership style, with consensus-building ability.
- Works with integrity and earns the respect and trust of other colleagues and the Board of Trustees.
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence.
- Demonstrable commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
