About the roleWe are seeking an enthusiastic band 7 Healthcare Scientist to join our growing cardiac rhythm management team at University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust.
The pacing & devices service has implants of approximately 1500 devices per year comprising CRT, ICD, loop recorders & bradycardia pacemakers. Our dedicated electrophysiology lab runs 10 sessions per week and we have a team of 5 consultant electrophysiologists who deliver a range of EP studies from simple diagnostics to complex 3D mapping with Carto and Ensite for atrial & ventricular arrhythmias.
Main duties- Provide technical support for both simple and complex device implants.
- Act as the lead healthcare scientist in clinic, providing pacemaker follow up for both complex and simple devices.
- Contribute to the EP service, receiving training in EP as part of this role.
- Provide an out of hours pacing service for emergency admissions.
- BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
- IBHRE or BHRS qualification.
- State registration with HCPC.
- Significant experience in cardiac rhythm management at band 6 level.
- Experience in electrophysiology.
