Role: Cherwell Asset Manager Agent Removal Specialist
Contract Type: Inside IR35
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Duration: Until 31st December 2025

Role Summary:

We require a technical specialist to lead the decommissioning of the Cherwell Asset Manager agent across the server estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying affected systems, assessing dependencies, and executing a safe and targeted removal strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Discover and document all Servers with the Cherwell Asset Manager agent installed, including versions of associated distributors.
• Engage with application teams to determine whether the distributors are in use and coordinate the removal of the agent where appropriate.
• For systems still reliant on distributors, identify version alignment and either:
• Work with teams to release a new application version that removes the dependency, or
• Develop a custom uninstall solution that removes only the agent without impacting required prerequisites.
• Resolve technical constraints associated with the current uninstall process, which removes both the agent and essential components.
• Manage risk and ensure minimal disruption to dependent systems throughout the decommissioning process.
