Degree qualification in Chemical Process
Engineering.

Experience in Piping and Instrumentation Drawing PNID

At least 5 years experience in Chemical Engineering

. Equipment availability and reliability/Supply: Responsible for ensuring that plant installed as part of Projects is designed to ensure equipment reliability and availability while meeting cost constraints.

Reports into Project Team Leader
Has the following roles reporting into this position:
- External design consultants.

Ensure that reliability is considered when scoping projects and selecting equipment.
Consider and include maintainability in plant and design.
Standardise equipment selection and design as much as possible to ensure ease of maintenance.

1. Equipment availability and reliability (supply):
Reliability incorporated in plant design

2. Cost/Finance
Cost/Finance: Manage project within approved budget and comply with Finance policies

Scope and design projects to provide 'fit for purpose' good value solutions to problems. Challenge the client, EHS, Project Engineer and external consultants when needed to achieve this.
Provide a sufficiently detailed scope when submitting CPA so that all stakeholders understand the basis for the budget.
Provide technical direction to Project Engineers and consultants to minimise unnecessary time and money spent during the design process.
Standardise plant design within a plant and across the site to achieve consistent technical solutions to problems so that designs can be re-used and costs minimised. 
Do not deviate from approved scope without following change control approval (ANOC).

Approved scope with all CPAs.
3. Quality: QARs raised against projects
4. EHS:

No incidents or injuries related to projects
Actions closed by due date
SII and local investigations completed by due date
Safety Audits complete per schedule
SQE Participation

3. Quality: Responsible for adherence to all quality standards within Engineering

Follow the quality requirements as laid out in the project life cycle at all times.
Maintain project electronic files up to date through-out the life cycle of the project.
