Chef Manager

Berkeley Scott is recruiting a Chef Manager for temporary agency work in Tonbridge and the surrounding areas. This role, starting in September, involves overseeing kitchen operations across school and hospitality settings. You will manage daily running of the kitchen, lead the team, and ensure high standards of food service. The position offers flexible hours with competitive pay between £18.00 and £24.00 per hour, depending on experience and the end employer. Strong organisational and leadership abilities are essential. Key responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of busy kitchens
• Leading, motivating and supporting kitchen teams
• Planning and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health and safety and allergen standards
• Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste
• Ensuring kitchens operate efficiently and meet client expectations

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar kitchen management role
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Experience working within schools or contract catering is desirable
• Two satisfactory references
• An Enhanced DBS certificate
• The right to work in the UK
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage, but is not essential
