Chef Manager

Berkeley Scott is seeking an experienced Chef Manager for temporary agency work in Redhill, starting September. This role involves managing daily kitchen operations across school and hospitality sites, paying £18.00 £24.00 per hour depending on experience. You will oversee food preparation, maintain hygiene standards, and lead kitchen staff effectively. Strong leadership and organisational skills are essential for this varied position. The contract offers flexibility across multiple locations in and around Redhill. Key responsibilities:

• Managing the day-to-day running of busy kitchens
• Leading, motivating and supporting kitchen teams
• Planning and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health and safety and allergen standards
• Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste
• Ensuring kitchens operate efficiently and meet client expectations

What we're looking for:

• A minimum of 2 years experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar kitchen management role
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Experience working within schools or contract catering is desirable
• Two satisfactory references
• An Enhanced DBS certificate
• The right to work in the UK
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage, but is not essential
