Job Description

The Chef Manager role in Burton upon Trent involves leading kitchen operations within local schools and education settings, starting from September. Hourly rates range from £18.00 to £24.00, dependent on experience and the specific employer.


Chef Manager Berkeley Scott are actively recruiting experienced Chef Manager for temporary agency assignments across Burton Upon Trent, supporting schools and education settings for the new school year starting in September.


We are looking for passionate and reliable Chef Manager who have experience leading kitchen teams, managing daily food operations, and delivering high-quality meals within a busy catering environment.


Pay: andpound;18.00andndash;andpound;24.00 per hour (Depending on Experience and End Employer) As a Chef Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene, managing stock, and ensuring a positive dining experience for students and staff.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Chef Manager or in a senior chef role

  • Enhanced DBS certificate (essential)

  • Food Safety Level 2 certificate

  • Food Allergen Awareness certificate

  • Experience working within education, contract catering, or a similar environment is desirable

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to manage a busy kitchen and support a team effectively


The Role:

  • Managing day-to-day kitchen operations

  • Preparing fresh, high-quality meals

  • Leading and supporting kitchen staff

  • Ensuring compliance with food safety and allergen procedures
