Basic Job Description

• Start date: September 2026 for the new academic year
• Full time 37.5 hours per week
• Estimated contract length 2 months
• Teaching Level 2 & 3 in professional cookery and culinary skills
• Hourly rate £30-37
• Position at an FE College in Greater Manchester
• Must have DBS on the update service
• Must have professional cookery or culinary skills qualifications at level 2 or 3
• Must have a teaching qualification such as PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or QTS (level 5)
• Seeking a back-of-house, kitchen experience (not front-of-house hospitality)

Responsibilities

• Work in the Catering and Hospitality Department, collaborating with a variety of learners and meeting the College's standards of work
• Provide additional tutorial and pastoral support to students across the College as required
• Deliver BTEC professional cookery and culinary skills instruction at levels 2 and 3

Requirements

• A UK recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent) is essential
• Experience delivering the subject (professional cookery / culinary skills)
• A current DBS on the update service
