Job Description

Due to security requirements you must have been continuously resident in UK for last 3 years to apply for this position

  • 37.5 hours per week
    • Various shift patterns 06:00 till14:00 and 11:30 till 19:30 (Weekdays)
    • 15:30 till 23:30 (Weekends)
  • 5 days out of 7
  • £16.72 per hour

What you'll do:
  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring consistency and excellent standards at all times.
  • Deliver meals to military personnel and support high-profile events, functions, and special occasions.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation, ensuring full compliance with EHO regulations.
  • Support large-scale and bulk food production while maintaining quality, presentation, and attention to detail.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to provide an outstanding dining experience and efficient service.
What you bring:
  • Proven experience as a Chef in a catering, hospitality, or large-scale food service environment, with a passion for delivering exceptional food and service.
  • Hold a recognised culinary qualification, such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery, or an equivalent certification.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, demonstrating excellent organisation, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Experience within military, government, or contract catering environments is advantageous, as are IOSH certification and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
