We are an award-winning care home in Aberdeen's prestigious West End, providing exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 86 residents.
We're looking for a talented Chef to join our friendly team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you'll be the sole Chef on shift, taking full responsibility for delivering fresh, nutritious and comforting meals that make a real difference to our residents' daily lives.

What You'll Do
Lead the Kitchen: Work as the sole Chef on shift, managing all aspects of meal preparation and service.
Meal Preparation: Prepare, cook, and serve balanced, high-quality meals that meet residents' nutritional and dietary needs.
Menu Planning: Support the Head Chef in planning menus that make the most of fresh ingredients and reflect residents' preferences.
Kitchen Management: Oversee daily kitchen operations, food safety, stock rotation, and hygiene standards.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate food safety logs, temperature checks, and stock records.
Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all statutory Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
About You
- Qualified to City & Guilds 706 1 & 2 (or equivalent)
- Holds a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Confident working independently and taking initiative in a busy kitchen
- A good communicator and team player
- Passionate about creating nutritious, homely meals for older adults
- Experience within a care home setting is desirable but not essential your enthusiasm, professionalism and heart for hospitality are what matter most.
