Chartered Surveyor (Contract)

We are seeking an experienced Chartered Surveyor to join a well-established organisation on a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a property professional with strong land acquisition and rural property experience to support a range of land and property projects.

Location: Mansfield with travel to various sites (2-3 days per week onsite/site visits)

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire land and property rights and interests to support operational programmes.

• Undertake land and property inspections in line with health and safety procedures.

• Carry out property due diligence for acquisitions and ongoing projects.

• Review sites and provide professional advice and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

• Engage and negotiate with landowners, occupiers, agents, local authorities and other stakeholders.

• Identify, assess and help manage property-related risks, issues and opportunities.

• Support a variety of property and land management activities as required.

Essential Experience

• Experience in property, land surveying or a related discipline.

• Proven experience undertaking site inspections and property due diligence.

• Knowledge of land acquisition processes.

• Strong understanding of property-related risks and opportunities.

• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

• Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel regularly.

• RICS Chartered Surveyor qualification.

Desirable Experience

• Background in rural property, agriculture, land management or another land-based discipline.

• Experience working with landowners, occupiers and rural stakeholders.

• Membership of a relevant professional body such as CAAV.
