Chartered Surveyor (Contract)
We are seeking an experienced Chartered Surveyor to join a well-established organisation on a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a property professional with strong land acquisition and rural property experience to support a range of land and property projects.
Location: Mansfield with travel to various sites (2-3 days per week onsite/site visits)
Key Responsibilities

Acquire land and property rights and interests to support operational programmes.

Undertake land and property inspections in line with health and safety procedures.

Carry out property due diligence for acquisitions and ongoing projects.

Review sites and provide professional advice and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Engage and negotiate with landowners, occupiers, agents, local authorities and other stakeholders.

Identify, assess and help manage property-related risks, issues and opportunities.

Support a variety of property and land management activities as required.
Essential Experience
-
Experience in property, land surveying or a related discipline.

Proven experience undertaking site inspections and property due diligence.

Knowledge of land acquisition processes.

Strong understanding of property-related risks and opportunities.

Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel regularly.

RICS Chartered Surveyor qualification.
Desirable Experience
-
Background in rural property, agriculture, land management or another land-based discipline.

Experience working with landowners, occupiers and rural stakeholders.

Membership of a relevant professional body such as CAAV.
