Compensation: £22,394 - £23,962 / year

Contract: Permanent, full or part time (minimum of 28 hours, working either 4 or 5 days per week)

Set within a unique high street, our charity shop in Wilmslow welcomes loyal customers and generous donations, supporting our mission to care for animals in need along with their owners.

As a Shop Manager, you will be the driving force behind establishing this role within the local community and sourcing quality fashion, accessories, and homeware from donations to regenerate and find a new home!

More about the role

Working with the Assistant Manager, you will recruit, train, and support our loyal volunteers to ensure our shop runs smoothly and efficiently. You must be confident in promoting and showcasing what we do to increase the number of volunteers and donations.

You will oversee day-to-day activities, support visual merchandising, and plan strategies to increase stock quality and quantity to grow our business.

Using your retail management experience, you will make this store thrive in its community. Ideally, you will be a local with strong connections and ideas for engaging with customers.

Your organizational skills and attention to detail will ensure smooth operations, enabling your team to provide excellent customer service.

Our shop is open Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00. Your working pattern may vary weekly based on business needs.

  • Retail management experience
  • Commercial awareness to deliver sales
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities
  • Good IT skills and basic finance understanding
  • People management skills
  • Customer service excellence

Desirable:

  • Full driving license
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Fundraising experience
