Job Description
Position Summary

We are seeking a CG Supervisor with the innovative spirit and passion for excellence that defines ILM. You will ensure productions are equipped to realise the VFX Supervisor's vision within budget and schedule. As a technical leader, you will oversee discipline departments, manage cross-departmental workflows, and facilitate efficient global collaboration.

What You'll Do:
  • Define the creative and technical approach with Supervisors, leveraging ILM tools.
  • Standardise global pipelines and prioritise R&D/pipeline development tasks.
  • Proactively resolve workflow impediments and technical bottlenecks.
  • Forecast and manage resources, including storage, processing, and licensing.
  • Maintain technical standards and stay current with industry advancements.
  • Direct show wrap, asset archiving, and establish centralised documentation.
  • Bridge VFX Supervisors, Producers, and artists to achieve budget and schedule targets.
  • Provide technical/artistic direction and monitor asset progression in reviews.
  • Collaborate on staffing and scheduling to ensure achievable project timelines.
  • Support bidding and recruitment to align talent with production needs.
  • Represent studio capabilities to clients and conduct status updates with internal leadership.
  • Coordinate with global counterparts and foster a productive environment through mentorship and conflict resolution.
What We're Looking For:
  • Established leadership experience within CG (Area Lead or Associate CG Supervisor).
  • Proven experience as a technical artist, working on several high end visual effects projects.
  • Proficient knowledge of VFX processes and discipline workflows.
  • Expert level understanding of the techniques and tools of one or more CG disciplines.
  • Track record of delivering high quality work on high end visual effects projects.
  • Tenacious aesthetic judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with USD, Maya, Katana, Houdini, RenderMan or Unreal is beneficial.
  • Exceptional prioritisation, delegation, and communication capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with non-technical employees across the organisation and at all levels; excellent written and verbal communicator.
